Welcome to Marshfield, Missouri or "Top of the Ozarks".  Our city is located off of exit #100 on Interstate 44 and Route 66 runs through the middle of the city.

Marshfield is proud to have the distinction of having the longest running Independence Day Parade west of the Mississippi.  We celebrated our 130th Independence Day Parade on July 4th, 2009 and thanks to the 139th Airlift Wing Division from St. Joseph, MO. everyone enjoyed the flyover of a C130 four engine cargo plane as it passed over our courthouse twice, thanks again for being a part of our Independence Day celebration.

Marshfield is also the birthplace to Edwin P. Hubble of the Hubble Telescope, look under "Tourism" to find out where to view the replica of the Hubble Space Telescope.

Also while you are in Marshfield take a look at the mural which is located on the side of the building on Washington Street, across from the Hubble Space Telescope.   Thanks to the Missouri Arts Council, Governor Jay Nixon and our state legislators, Tina Hyde and the Marshfield High School Art Club and local businesses that helped and supported this project.  This beautiful mural enhances our city's square and encourages tourism in Marshfield.

Marshfield is a beautiful place to live and to visit.  We are designated a "Tree City" and take pride in the beauty of our community.  Thanks to many volunteers, community leaders and those at the Marshfield City Hall, donating hours of labor planting 3,500+ trees throughout Marshfield.

Rotary Park, which is near the Marshfield City Hall on Marshall Street (Hwy A) have a nice paved walking trail which includes the "Heritage Celebration Trailway".  Rotary Park also serves as the location to celebrate Arbor Day, the site of the WWI Memorial and the walking trail is a memorial to those that has passed on.

We are a community that strives to be able to provide many activities throughout the year such as the Cherry Blossom Festival, Children's Easter Egg Hunt, Fiber Fair, Independence Day Celebration, Fireworks on the 4th of July, sanctioned ACRA/MRCA Rodeo, Webster County Fair, Truck & Tractor Pulls, ATV Rodeo, Demolition Derby, Pow Wow, Equine Events, Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch, Christmas Parade & Christmas Events and much more!

This year on Saturday, July 3, 2010 we celebrated our 131st Independence Day Parade.  Marshfield, Missouri has the distinction of having the longest running 4th of July Parade west of the Mississippi.  Let me share a few pictures with you of the fun we had celebrating our Independence:

Marshfield is the county seat for Webster County and is a wonderful place to raise a family, enjoy retirement or just to visit.  The picture on the right is our county courthouse located on the square in Marshfield.  The middle picture is an aerial of the courthouse and square and the picture on the right is of the welcome sign as you enter our city from the westbound side of I-44.  If  you would like to have a relocation package sent to you click here.

We at the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce are a partner with the United States Census Bureau to reach out to our community and encourage everyone to complete and mail in their 2010 Census questionnaire after they receive it in the may in April 2010.  By each household completing the survey, it will help non-profit organizations in our area and and will help in receiving federal funds that help the residents of our community.
